We love supporting local organizations! Our kids really stepped up during our Summer Fun Week when we challenged them to bring in food for ForKids!
Doing some late season clean-outs or moving? Best Thrift, located in Norfolk, has a pick-up service and will pay for donations by the pound. Consider calling them to collect left overs from a yard sale or goods you just don't need anymore and donating the money to the Coalition Against Poverty in Suffolk (CAPS)!

It's been a great week so far for our Bible Fun Week workdays. You're still welcome to join us for one or a few hours from 10-6 today through Friday, it's starting to look like a beach here! We will also have some work hours transforming the sanctuary on Sunday afternoon immediately following the second service.
W-Kids News: Starting this weekend, our rising 6th graders will now be part of middle school and our rising kindergarteners will be part of our elementary groups at 9. Children’s Church will not meet during July and Aug.

Lynne shared about our goal for hospitality yesterday. Thursday is July 4, reach out to someone who may be new to the area and share information on fireworks. It's an easy and low commitment way to be a welcoming neighbor!
We are offering 2 summer connection classes this year. Both run for 8 weeks and you can come for as many or as few as you're able to make. Don't let your summer travel plans discourage you from attending when you are here. One is for parents of all stages and youth-group-aged students, addressing Discipleship in the Home. Part of the class will be everyone together, then the children and parents will break out into separate groups to further discuss that week's topic. The other class is hosted by the Thrive Marriage Ministry. If you couldn't attend the spring class this is a great chance to meet the Thrive ministry and get to know them better!

Hope for Suffolk Flower CSA shares are available! CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture- it functions as a flower subscription service with weekly or bi-weekly bouquets. A weekly share costs $50 a month, a bi-weekly share costs $25 for the month. Sign up for a share online or buy a bouquet on Sundays! Hope for Suffolk is a ministry of WRPC in which we invest in youth through our farm work program and biblical training. We partner with YoungLife to preach the gospel in word and deed and provide opportunities to teens.
Every Sunday morning it takes (at least) 20 loving volunteers to facilitate our nursery, preschool, and elementary programs. Our committed volunteers take a well-deserved break during the summer months and we're asking you to step up and help us provide this service. Contact Kelly or Valerie in the office if you're ready to commit to one hour, one Sunday, to care for your church family.
